Tamoxifen citrate (taxus) reverses the existing growth process of dead tissue and prevents its growth. The growth of certain tissues is stimulated by the body's own estrogens.

The antiestrogen tamoxifen citrate (taxus) prevents aromatization by blocking estrogen receptors in affected body tissue, inhibiting estrogen from binding to the receptors.
